I am really facing a problem…i installed the script and tried sending common message to all..it stopped after sending scraps to 350 friends…and i still had 340 more….
since i work on very fast speed net..the time gap was extremely minimal…
Now i am not getting notifications of new scarps neither able to reply or add anyone..
I am getting the message…”Temporarily banned”
wht does this mean??
plz sumone suggest me sumthing fr future…

Dont Worry Varun as this temporary ban is just for few hours (8-10 hours approx)
Rest orkut has ~300 scraps limit after that your account gets Temporarily Banned!
This is the reason for many scrapbook flooding softwares, scripts stopping around 300 scrap limit.
I will try to figure out the code so that script can be slowed down but I dont think it will make big difference.
Anyway do not use this script too often or your account may get deleted permanently.

First sorry for late raply…
Now about sending common scrap to all community member… Its almost impossible for reasons listed below…
1. Most of the community members are NOT ur friends
>> There is limit on no. of scrap u can sent to NON-friend orkut users (around 20/30 a day)
2. Overall Limit of 500 scraps per day and most communities have 1000 of members!
Also if eventually someone tries to write a script which is logically simple, the script will first fail at image verification i.e. CAPTCHA and then orkuts’ limit on no. of scraps
The whole thing is really not worth giving time at all! so it will be hard for u to find something really useful in this regard!

Html scraps doesnt work…
When i paste an html code in the scrap & then send,it doesnt work,i mean it shows me “sent” but actually it hasnt,i cant see the scrap in d receivers scrapbook not even the text,the rest is fine…….appreciated!!:)

Not all html tag will work..
I guess only presentation html will work.
Bu the way if possible try to send us HTML code which didnt work so we can analyze that

What error message you got?
There can be many reason for not working of this script, like temp. ban on ur orkut account, wrong installation or something else!

This change is made by orkut to enhance security!

Now video must be uploaded on YouTube or Google Videos. On uploading you will receive a URL [ex: http://youtube.com/watch?v=videoid
Just Copy and paste the url and the video will appear in the scrap…
Note you can send such video to all orkut friends (upto 280) using this script!

I guess it will be almost impossible then!
Cause orkut have no video uploading interface. They just run program on server which fetches video automatically by just seeing link!
Unfortunately that program knows only video URL from youtube and Google Video - Both again owned by Google!
So third party video uploading is kinda impossible! Actually Orkut have now its API public but as I remember there is no API related to video.
But you have raised really nice question. If I able to find out something I will surely post it on this blog!
Well i did try it and it worked…..
when i scrap my friends with this code…or paste it on my own scrapbook, surprisingly it works. Check my scrap on my orkut profile.. i have pasted this code there to try it.

First image URL should end with .jpg, .gif, .png extension.
Second check if you normally scrap such image whether u get image verification (CAPTCHA)
U can not use this script with any content which need to pass image verification!
~You have also said, i will send flash. Can a flv file be sent?

If you send images from third party sites orkut starts image verification which this script can not do!
So only way TO DO THIS…

I think by html address you mean URL.
In that case there is no working trick to send URL in scraps without encountering image verification!

If friends did not receive your scraps that means HTML you were sending contains link.
I guess any link outside orkut is not allowed now… Be it link to site or link to any image, video, etc…

Yep buddy! Actually scrap-all is not a software but a greasemonkey script. Now to run a greasemonkey script you need firefox which is available for mac too!
So download firefox and then install greasmonkey addon. Then follow the steps mentioned above in this post to use scrap-all script!

Whenever you use script like scaprall/flooder you may get temporary block by orkut. Just be careful and don’t use flooder like scripts too much or your account may get deleted.

Sorry to here that bro.
Orkut can delete account for many reason. Of course flooders and scrapall scripts top the list but there are spamming script on orkut claiming to be album hack script. If you try to use scripts like those, they harm you badly without your knowledge!
And about this script, this and every script no matter what it does violated Orkuts terms of service.

The image is hosted on third-party server. You need to move it to orkut or googles server.

Sorry to hear that you still had some problem with images…
Now about orkut search…
First its not perfect like parent google search.
Next if you have recently changed your name on orkut i.e. first name and last name field modification, then it make take two weeks for orkut to index and update database with your name.
Still if you want to rank higher then fill up as much details as possible in your profile. While writing details try to use your own name in details!

Photos hosted on picasa or google server are exception I guess.
Also use add photo link to add images from picasa drop box!

sine orkut has shifted from http://www.orkut.com to http://www.orkut.co.in i think the scrap all fails. Please try and change the script to read the profile from http://www.orkut.co.in for indian users and then may be the script would work.

At present, orkut does not allow you to send ten scraps in a row without a captcha challenge. Also, embedding rich content in a scrap presents a captcha challenge.
Will this script beat these barriers?

Also script cannot be used more than once every 10 hours.
i installed the scrit to send scrap to all of my frnds, and installed greasemonkey…
but wen i opens “www.orkut.com/scrapall” it stucks on a message of “loading data” and doesnt proceeds further…

Well I haven’t checked this script personally from long time but from Waseem’s comment, it seems to be working.
Anyway try clearing your cache and/or reinstalling script. It may work..

i just want to send a group message, nothing embedded, no html code, no images… but after a couple of friends it wont send anymore…. something like 40 friends… i have only 150…
so.. i was thinking.. can you setup some sort of delay for the scrap sending? maybe something like send a scrap every 15 seconds, or send them in batches of 10, to not brake orkut rules and not get banned?
or can you tell me where i have to change the javascript code? is it the timewait value of 20 what i have to change?
