Bill Gates Leaving Microsoft Today on June 27 [Farewell]

ADVERTISEMENTS

image Today, Friday, June 27, 2008, is the last working day of Bill Gates at Microsoft. He will stop all day-to-day activities from this weekend and will give his time for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and its work in health, vaccines, education and more. He will remain Microsoft’s chairman and its largest single shareholder (and world richest man).

A year before he started withdrawing from his official duties at Microsoft marking beginning of the end of an era - “The Bill Gate Era”.

Personally I have more reason to hate than to love Mr. Gate, but I simply can’t deny his contribution to IT Industry & our lives. I personally wish he could have stayed longer at Microsoft.

For those who think Bill ended as Harvard dropout, please correct your facts. He returned to Harvard last year. Below is video of his graduation speech (part1). For part 2, part 3, part 3, part 4

I think he quit too soon. But I don’t know exactly why he must quit right now. Yes, he is legend for IT industry.
